Everyone gets tempted change the design of the website, if it exists around for a long time.  It may be because as the personal taste have been varied or the current design is not satisfying the actual purpose. Here is the list of things that are to be considered at the time of redesigning the website. 


1.       Good Reason for the Change

Frequent visitors may not like the huge changes to the websites as they are already practiced with the old look. Changing the outlook without any good reason, may push away the regular visitors.  While redesigning the site, minimize the issues of the regular users by keeping the navigation buttons at the standard locations as it would be convenient for the users. .

As the time passes, the website may require multiple redesigns at regular intervals. Investing in the proper web editors may reduce the hassle at the time of managing the website. Most of the commercial web editors let to make the changes within single template.  Manual editing can be done via HTML and CSS. Search and replace programs add up complement to standard text editors.

4. Analysis the Impact

The redesign process may increase or decrease the traffic of the website. Using web statics, we can determine the path of the website visitors. Occasionally, redesigning may also improve the income and sales. Before redesigning the site, it is must to determine how the visitors are using the site. Fluctuations can be reduced by making changes to few pages of the website and then doing for the entire site.

5.Back-Up the Site before Redesigning

It is must to keep the up-to-date backup of the existing site before making the redesign process. It is would be helpful at the time to revert to the old look, if the redesigned website has undesirable side-effects.
